This is the perfect opportunity to discover the picturesque Lake Como with this tour. You will start your day with a leisurely drive around the shores of this lovely lake and marvel at all your magnificent surroundings like the views of the grand villas of the Italian nobility, most of which, have now been bought by wealthy industrialists or movie stars. You will also have some time to explore at your own pace, which will allow you to saunter along the lakefront, explore the Medieval center, or if you want to enhance today’s experience, take the funicular that will take you to Brunate.

Day 5 Transfer from Lake Como to Verona

Today’s transfer will take you to the historic city of Verona.

Day 6 Amarone and Valpolicella Wine Region Tour

After meeting your English-speaking driver, you will take a relaxing and picturesque drive around the Valpolicella and Amarone trails. Amarone is a raisin wine made from a mixture of native grape varietals following strict guidelines. The bunches are harvested later and are left to dry and shrivel before the vinification, so that sugar and flavor, once water evaporates, reach a higher concentration. Your tour will take you across a territory where vineyards are interrupted by little villages or by the occasional church, and where local wineries hide the secrets of some of the most coveted Italian wines. You will have the opportunity to visit two of them and taste the Amarone, but also the Ripasso, a wine with an especially strong body and alcohol content, because it undergoes an extended maceration with the pomace of grape skins and seeds left by the fermentation of Amarone. In between the wine tastings, one of which is accompanied by local appetizers, your driver will be glad to give you additional information and tips in case you wish to enjoy some free time in a couple of Valpolicella villages.

Day 7 Walking Tour of Verona

Verona’s fame transcends Romeo and Juliet’s tragic love story immortalized by Shakespeare. This city brims with history and monuments, begging for exploration on a guided tour. From the ancient Arena, hosting operatic performances, to the Gothic marvel of the Scaliger Tombs, Verona captivates at every turn. Wander Piazza delle Erbe, where a medieval fountain, crafted from Roman remnants, evokes ancient allure. Admire Juliet’s balcony, then delve into the exquisite Gothic splendor of St. Anastasia’s Basilica, a hidden gem that leaves visitors spellbound by its magnificent interior.

Day 8 transfer from Verona to Padova

From Verona you will be transferred to the beautiful city of Padova.

Padova boasts a rich history, Renaissance architecture, and a vibrant cultural scene. Home to the renowned University of Padua, it blends tradition with modernity seamlessly.
