Here’s a question for you: how do you picture the Spain by Travelive team? The very group of talented travel specialists that take one of Europe’s liveliest destinations and manage to make it feel even more alive.

Let us guess…in full matador regalia, playing Spanish guitar, and with a plateful of paella on the table?

Sorry to disappoint you, but that’s not quite it; although we can certainly see it too.

In truth, while they may not clapping castanets all day (at least not in the office) nobody is more passionate about Spain’s vibrant culture than the individuals who bring it to your travelers. And today, we invite you to say ¡Hola! and get to know them a little closer.

Armando — Country Manager

Travel has taken me to many corners of the world, introducing me to different cultures, landscapes, and ways of life. Yet no matter where I go, Spain will always be home. It’s where I was born, where I live, and where I continue to uncover new experiences. What I love most is its diversity, from its traditions and gastronomy to the warmth of its people. And the best part of what I do is helping travelers see Spain that way I have, even if only for a just one trip.

Ivan — Sales Manager

Born and raised in Spain, I’ve spent years exploring the country and still feel like I’ve only scratched the surface. From vibrant cities and charming villages to dramatic coastlines and mountain landscapes, every region has its own personality. Believe it or not, even during my holidays, I often choose to stay in Spain because there is always something new to discover. And every time, I return having found new things to share with travelers that make it impossible not to love.

Jennifer — Senior Travel Planner

Growing up in Tenerife and later living across Europe gave me an even deeper appreciation for what makes Spain so special. As a folklore dancer, I’ve always loved its traditions, music, and sense of community. One of my favorite travel memories is driving through Andalucía and discovering how every city expresses its own identity, especially through its gastronomy. Whether in Seville, Valencia, or Tenerife, I love helping travelers experience Spain through its people, customs, and authentic moments.

Maria Lucas — Senior Travel Planner

Guided by a lifelong personal and professional passion for travel, I’ve always been fascinated by what makes each destination truly unique. Yet even as a native of Spain, I’m not sure I’ll ever fully uncover all that my country has to offer; it’s simply that diverse. And that’s what I love about helping travelers discover it. Be it surprising them with hidden corners or introducing them to local traditions, one of the most rewarding parts of my work is showing them a side of Spain they never knew existed.

Catarina Duarte — Travel Planner

Travel has always been a big part of my life. After studying Tourism in Lisbon, I began working on cruise ships, an experience that brought me to many destinations, including Spain. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with its culture, traditions, and way of life. Years later, a job opportunity brought me to Madrid, where I spent three wonderful years and met the man who would become my husband. We were even married there, which is why Spain will always hold a very special place in my heart.

Effie — Reservations Manager

You don’t have to look beyond its vibrant culture, beautiful landscapes, and welcoming atmosphere to see why Spain has become one of my favorite destinations. Whether wandering through Barcelona, admiring Madrid’s architecture, or relaxing along the Mediterranean coast, Spain seamlessly weaves history, beauty, and tradition into everyday life. It certainly knows how to make a lasting impression, and I’m fortunate to help it do so with memorable journeys for travelers discovering it for themselves.

Miracle — Reservations Supervisor

You can’t talk about Spain without mentioning its warmth and energy. There’s a genuine openness to everyday life that makes people feel at home. Whether it’s gathering around a table with family and friends, celebrating local traditions, or cheering (loudly) on a football team, there is a wonderful sense of community that brings people together. Combined with its beautiful coastlines, historic cities, and rich culture, Spain has a way of making visitors feel connected from the moment they arrive.

Miguel — Reservations Assistant

I've always believed the best journeys are about experiences rather than checklists. For me, that means spending time in nature, being around animals, and discovering authentic places with plenty of character, of which Spain certainly has no shortage. Whether exploring the mountains of northern Spain, fishing along the coast, or finding a small local restaurant known only to locals, I’m always looking to get to know it a little better, and helping other travelers do the same is one of my favorite parts of the job.

Zisis — Reservations Assistant

To me, every destination tells its own story, and Spain definitely left me with some great ones. Barcelona made every stroll memorable with its architecture, vibrant neighborhoods, and Mediterranean atmosphere. Gaudí’s work is beyond inspiring, and seeing the Sagrada Família was unforgettable. Another highlight was Toledo, where I visited the El Greco Museum. As a Greek, it was especially meaningful to discover the legacy of an artist who connected my own heritage with Spain’s rich cultural history.
