During the market visit, indulge in tastings of Palermo’s most typical foods, such as “panelle” made with chickpea flour, and “pane con la milza” – bread with calf’s spleen. Day 4 The Valley of Temples
Visit one of the world’s most impressive archaeological sites: the Valley of the Temples. This site boasts outstanding and nearly intact examples of Greek art and architecture, situated about 3km below modern Agrigento. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Valley of the Temples is one of the Mediterranean’s most mesmerizing destinations, showcasing the best-preserved Doric temples outside Greece.
