ITINERARY 

DAY 1 Arrival

After landing in Madrid you will be transfered to Cáceres, Extremadura, situated in the southwestern part of the country, is known for its rich history, picturesque landscapes, and unique cultural heritage.

DAY 2 Caceres

Start your day with a visit to the Old Town of Cáceres. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to many historic buildings and landmarks, including the Plaza Mayor, the Palacio de los Golfines de Abajo, and the Casa del Sol. Afterward, you can take a guided tour of the Museo de Cáceres, which houses a collection of art and artifacts from the region.

DAY 3 Transfer to El Rocio with stop at Parque Nacional de Monfrague

Start your day Take a guided tour of the Parque Nacional de Monfrague, a beautiful natural park that is home to a variety of wildlife, including eagles, vultures, and black storks. Or relax at the Balneario El Raposo, a luxury spa that offers a variety of treatments and services. After some time for lunch, you will continue with a transfer to El Rocio. On your way, you’ll have the chance for a short visit to Mérida, a city steeped in history with well-preserved Roman ruins and a charming atmosphere. Do not forget to visit the Roman Theatre, one of the best-preserved examples in the world.

DAY 4 day at leisure and optional activities

You can visit the Ermita de la Virgen del Rocío, a beautiful church that is an important pilgrimage site for Catholics. You can also explore the nearby Donana National Park, which is home to a variety of wildlife, including flamingos, deer, and eagles.

DAY 5 Horse-riding

This morning you can have a horse ride. A different way to explore and discover the incredible landscapes of the Donana National Park is on horseback, suitable for both experienced riders and beginners alike. Enjoy a relaxing horseback ride throughout the park with a personalized guide who will adapt to your needs. After that, you will have some free time to enjoy lunch, before transferring to Jerez de la Frontera.

DAY 6 The dancing horses of Jerez

Home to the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and its world-famous dancing horses, Jerez is a town worth exploring. Accompanied by your local expert you will stroll around the town and see the most important sites. You will then visit the School and attend a horse performance. You will also have the opportunity to visit a local winery and try the famous sherry wine.

DAY 7 Seville with a stop in Cadiz

Take a half-day tour to Cadiz, that offers a glimpse into the rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning architecture of this coastal city. Begin your exploration in the heart of Cádiz, the Old Town. Wander through narrow streets and charming squares, absorbing the historic ambiance. Visit the Cádiz Cathedral, an iconic landmark with its golden dome. Explore the cathedral’s interior, including the beautiful chapels and stunning views from the towers. Take a stroll in Plaza de la Catedral, a lively square surrounded by cafes. It’s a great spot to relax and soak in the local atmosphere.

DAY 8

Seville – Seville Walking Tour

Today’s tour will take you through the beautiful streets of Seville’s unique city center. Accompanied by your expert guide you will stroll around the streets, learn about the town’s history, and visit the most important landmarks. Walk the Santa Cruz Quarter, the old Jewish section and the most enchanting of Seville, with narrow and winding cobblestone streets and whitewashed facades, visiting the interior of the Cathedral and the Reales Alcazares. The Alcazar is the oldest Royal Palace still in use in the whole of Europe, and it was listed by UNESCO in 1987 as a World Heritage. The Cathedral is the biggest one in the Gothic style of the world, with a wooden main altar. It has been in the same place since the 12th century, so it was a Mosque in the past, from which it remained only the minaret, now called “La Giralda” where the bells are located.

DAY 9 Morning at leisure and Flamenco evening show

Spend a day indulging in the rich culture and delicious food of Seville. In the evening you may want to see a traditional Flamenco show. DAY 10 Cordoba with a city tour

Transfer to Cordoba and city tour. This beautiful town waits for you to explore it, accompanied by your professional guide. Not many places in the world can say they have been the capital of Hispania Ulterior (Further Spain) under the Roman Empire and the capital of the Umayyad Caliphate. The UNESCO organization recognized the universal importance of Cordoba’s historic legacy and extended the title of World Heritage Site not only to the Mosque-Cathedral but also to all the streets and buildings surrounding it. The structure of this Mosque-Cathedral is regarded as one of the most accomplished monuments of Moorish architecture. It was originally a church built by the Visigoths and it has been a witness and victim of historical fights between Muslims and Christians since 711 when the Muslims first conquered Spain. The Medieval Synagogue is a historic building in the Jewish Quarter, built in 1315. After the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492, the building was devoted to various functions including a hydrophobic hospital, a chapel for shoemakers, and a nursery school.

DAY 11

After 10 exciting days in the hidden gems of Spain, you will take a train to Madrid to catch a late flight back home.
