Day 1 — Bonjour, Switzerland: Arrival in Geneva & Transfer to Lausanne
Bienvenue en Suisse! Not long after arriving at Geneva Airport, you will be tracing the scenic shores of Lake Geneva to Lausanne, where your journey into Switzerland’s French-speaking soul begins. Overlooking terraced vineyards and shimmering waters, this quaint yet refined city invites you to slow down and embrace Switzerland’s version of the proverbial joie de vivre. Settle into it by heading on a stroll along the lake or by indulging in your first taste of local wine with a stunning view.
Day 2 — Savoring Lausanne: Vineyards & Lake Geneva
Today, you will uncover Lausanne, the Olympic Capital, where the spirit of international camaraderie lingers gracefully along the shores of Lake Geneva. Beyond them, just off Villeneuve Harbor, a gourmet cruise awaits to serve up regional delicacies as the surrounding Alpine vistas elevate every bite. After delighting in flavors that make Swiss cuisine stand out across the globe, journey into the sunlit vineyards of Lavaux for a tasting at Domaine Dillet in Yvorne, where each glass proves that wine is, indeed, the universal language of refinement.
Day 3 — From Mountains to Music: Montreux & the Swiss Riviera
It’s time to let Switzerland’s iconic scenery do the talking. Ascend Mount Stockhorn by cable car for breathtaking views over the Alps, before boarding the GoldenPass Express toward Montreux, where a refined selection of Swiss cheeses and charcuterie offers a taste of Swiss travel at its finest. Upon arrival, explore Montreux on a guided walk. Belt out a few lines of Bohemian Rhapsody before the statue of Freddie Mercury, explore the storied Château de Chillon where centuries of history unfold along the water’s edge, all while basking in the storied charm of the Swiss Riviera.
- The GoldenPass Express
Connecting Switzerland’s French and German-speaking regions, the GoldenPass Express is one of the country’s most scenic train journeys. In just over three hours, it glides from the vineyards of Lake Geneva to the peaks of the Bernese Alps, with uninterrupted panoramic views throughout. Seamless and refined, it’s a journey that beautifully reflects Switzerland’s diversity.
A “Musical” Note from Anna
“Queen is one of my favorite bands, and Montreux feels incredibly special because of that. Freddie Mercury once called this place his home, and you can still feel that creative energy along the promenade, where his statue stands overlooking the lake. It’s one of those places where Switzerland reveals a more unexpected, artistic side of its elegance.”
Day 4 — Grüezi, Lucerne: A Journey into Swiss German Charm
Prepare to say Grüezi! as you bid adieu to Switzerland’s French-speaking shores and journey into its German-speaking heart, where Lucerne awaits. Whether by train or private transfer, watch as the landscapes begin to shift, revealing storybook villages and alpine backdrops. Upon arrival, settle into this charming lakeside city, where medieval architecture meets mountain serenity.
Day 5 — The Queen of the Mountains: Lucerne & Mount Rigi
Today, you will explore Lucerne, where Swiss German charm reveals itself through cobbled streets, frescoed facades, and lakeside elegance. After a guided walk through its historic heart, pay a royal visit to another kind of queen as you set out for Mount Rigi, the “Queen of the Mountains.” Cruise across Lake Lucerne to Vitznau and ascend by cogwheel train for some quintessential Swiss alpine views, before returning via gondola and boat, completing a day defined by beauty, balance, and breathtaking perspective.
Day 6 — A Taste of Tradition: Farms, Cheese & Alpine Life
Despite its skill in making it, there’s nothing cheesy about Switzerland, as you shall see by uncovering its rustic roots. Ascend above Lucerne with your guide for a scenic journey to Sonnenberg, where sweeping views give way to lush meadows and traditional farmsteads. As you wander through this idyllic landscape, discover the rhythms of rural Swiss life and sample traditionally crafted cheeses straight from a local farm. Simple, authentic, and deeply flavorful, this is Switzerland at its most grounded.
Day 7 — Ciao, Ticino: Journey to Lugano
Buongiorno! Watch Switzerland change its tune as you journey south into its Italian-speaking region of Ticino. Travel aboard the Gotthard Panorama Express, regular train, or via scenic transfer, letting alpine peaks gradually give way to palm-lined lakes and Mediterranean flair. Take a pause from the aperitivos (if only a brief one) and embrace Ticino’s blend of Swiss precision and Italian allure at its most authentic. Set out on a private boat across Lake Lugano, gliding toward a secluded 18th-century village accessible only by water. There, in a setting untouched by time, enjoy a relaxed wine tasting featuring local vintages, paired with delectable regional bites. With stone houses, gentle lake breezes, and a warm Mediterranean spirit, this is Switzerland speaking fluently in Italian.

Day 10 — Into the Alps: The Bernina Express to St. Moritz
Leave Ticino behind as your journey ascends into Switzerland’s high alpine world. Travel to Tirano and board the legendary Bernina Express, a panoramic train that winds its way through glaciers, soaring peaks, and dramatic viaducts on its ascent to St. Moritz. As the landscapes shift from Mediterranean softness to alpine grandeur, arrive in this iconic resort town and settle into your hotel, where crisp mountain air and refined luxury await.
Bernina Express
A UNESCO World Heritage journey, the Bernina Express is one of Switzerland’s most iconic rail experiences. Climbing from palm-lined valleys to glacial heights, it traverses dramatic landscapes via spiral tunnels and soaring viaducts, including the famed Landwasser Viaduct.

Upon arrival, take in the cosmopolitan air of a city where historic facades meet contemporary design and world-class shopping. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, perhaps with a stroll along the Limmat River or through the charming streets of the Old Town.
Day 13 — Sweet Zurich: Chocolate, Culture & Timeless Elegance
Treat yourself with the most refined pleasures of Zurich, starting with a guided exploration of the Old Town, where history unfolds along cobbled streets and storied facades. Stroll along Bahnhofstrasse, one of the world’s most exclusive shopping avenues, before indulging in Switzerland’s sweetest tradition: its chocolate. Sample exquisite creations from Zurich’s finest chocolatiers, then continue to the Lindt Home of Chocolate, where craftsmanship, heritage, and indulgence come together one square at a time.
Day 14 — Timeless Traditions: St. Gallen & Appenzell
Venture into Eastern Switzerland, where tradition and craftsmanship take center stage. Begin in St. Gallen with a visit to its UNESCO-listed Abbey Library, a baroque masterpiece that houses centuries of knowledge, before exploring the city’s charming Old Town and renowned textile heritage. Continue to Appenzell, where colorful houses and local traditions bring to life Switzerland’s iconic storybook settings. For a grand finale, opt for a cable car ride up Mount Säntis, where sweeping views stretch across multiple countries.
