									<p><em>As told by Danielle Rudic, Vice President of Marketing and Product</em></p><p>At Travelive, we take product testing very personally. When we say we try everything before offering it to our travelers, we mean it in the most literal way possible. We bring the family. All ages. All opinions. Very little filtering. If something works for a well-traveled, fun-loving, occasionally stubborn group traveling together, we trust it will work for anyone.</p><p>Each year, my family picks one destination to reunite in, since we live in different parts of Europe. This year, Portugal got the honor. It was my umpteenth visit and everyone else’s first, which meant expectations were high and commentary was constant. Five nights. Six days. Best of Portugal, plus a few surprises. No padding. No rushing.</p><p>Portugal understood the assignment.</p> </div>

<p><strong>Day 3 Spanish Flamenco Tradition in Sevilla</strong></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="860" height="430" src="https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/flamenco-1.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7278" srcset="https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/flamenco-1.jpg 860w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/flamenco-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/flamenco-1-768x384.jpg 768w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/flamenco-1-585x293.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 860px) 100vw, 860px" /></figure>

<p>Your next destination is the charming city of <strong>Seville</strong>. Relax as you enjoy a seamless transfer and a scenic train ride. Create unforgettable memories as you savor two of the city’s grandest traditions – the art of Flamenco and their mouthwatering gastronomy.</p>

<p><strong>Day 4 Seville Walking Tour with Cathedral and Real Alcazar</strong></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="860" height="430" src="https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Real-Alcazar-Seville-1.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7280" srcset="https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Real-Alcazar-Seville-1.jpg 860w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Real-Alcazar-Seville-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Real-Alcazar-Seville-1-768x384.jpg 768w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Real-Alcazar-Seville-1-585x293.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 860px) 100vw, 860px" /></figure>

<p>Explore the city and see the most important landmarks, accompanied by your English-speaking guide. You will walk the Santa Cruz Quarter, the old Jewish section and the most enchanting of Seville, with narrow and winding cobblestone streets and whitewashed facades, visiting the interior of the <strong>Cathedral </strong>and the <strong>Reales Alcazare</strong>s. The Alcazar is the oldest Royal Palace still in use in whole Europe and it was listed by UNESCO in 1987 as World Heritage. It hosts palaces from different ages and the gardens recall its Moorish past. The construction started in medieval times, but several art styles are present today in the complex, including gothic, mudéjar, renaissance, and baroque. Seville Cathedral is the biggest one in the Gothic style of the world, with a wooden main altar. It is in the same place since the 12th century, so it was a Mosque in the past, from which it remained only the minaret, now called “La Giralda” where the bells are located.</p>

<p><strong>Day 5 City Tour and Royal Palace</strong></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="860" height="430" src="https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/LSBSSTMSCTLHFTD.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7282" srcset="https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/LSBSSTMSCTLHFTD.jpg 860w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/LSBSSTMSCTLHFTD-300x150.jpg 300w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/LSBSSTMSCTLHFTD-768x384.jpg 768w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/LSBSSTMSCTLHFTD-585x293.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 860px) 100vw, 860px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">xr:d:DAF5BLhvqL4:135,j:1718547685423162842,t:24041011</figcaption></figure>

<p>Your adventure continues in <strong>Lisbon</strong>. Portugal&#8217;s vibrant capital offers a captivating blend of history, culture, and modernity. In the evening, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional <strong>Fado Show</strong>. Fado&#8217;s origins remain a mystery but emerged prominently in 19th-century Lisbon&#8217;s traditional neighborhoods. Aging taverns soon evolved into Casas de Fado, hosting nightly performances by guitarists and vocalists. The haunting blend of the Spanish and Portuguese guitars creates a mesmerizing sound, stirring deep emotions. Vocalists, regardless of gender, convey profound sentiments, transcending language barriers. Fado narratives explore themes of love, fate, societal critique, and everyday life. Typically, performances unfold in intimate restaurants during dinner gatherings, with dimmed lights and hushed reverence. The enchanting rhythm of Fado continues, weaving an unforgettable tapestry of music and camaraderie.</p>

<p><strong>Day 6 Lisbon Old Town Tuk-Tuk Tour</strong></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="860" height="430" src="https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/LSBSSBSTLSBHTKT.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7283" srcset="https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/LSBSSBSTLSBHTKT.jpg 860w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/LSBSSBSTLSBHTKT-300x150.jpg 300w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/LSBSSBSTLSBHTKT-768x384.jpg 768w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/LSBSSBSTLSBHTKT-585x293.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 860px) 100vw, 860px" /></figure>

<p>Immerse yourself in the city&#8217;s culture with a breezy <strong>Eco Tuk Tuk Tour of beautiful Lisbon</strong>. Accompanied by your experienced driver, ride through the winding alleyways in the picturesque and colorful historical districts. Fall in love with Mouraria and Graça, and stroll around the Alfama, Lisbon’s oldest neighborhood, on a brief walking tour to unwind and enjoy the architectural beauty that surrounds the area, with charming arches and lovely stone-paved paths. Ride your Tuk to the top of Graca hill, the highest point of the city, towards the lovely chapel of “Nossa Senhora do Monte Belvedere”, that promises a breathtaking panoramic view of the city.</p>

<p><strong>Day 7 Tour to Sintra with Regaleira Palace</strong></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="860" height="430" src="https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Regaleira.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-7243" srcset="https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Regaleira.jpg 860w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Regaleira-300x150.jpg 300w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Regaleira-768x384.jpg 768w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Regaleira-585x293.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 860px) 100vw, 860px" /></figure>

<p>Fall in love with the enchanting town of <strong>Sintra</strong>, renowned for its fairy-tale-like palaces, charming streets, and lush gardens nestled amidst sinuous hills. Begin in Sintra’s historic center, exploring cobbled streets and colorful facades, and discovering quaint shops and traditional Portuguese cafes. Next, visit <strong>Quinta da Regaleira</strong>, a core part of Sintra&#8217;s cultural landscape and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Designed by Italian architect Luigi Manini, this Romantic Palace features a chapel and a lush park with lakes, grottoes, and fountains. On your return to Lisbon, marvel at the coastal wonder of Boca do Inferno before journeying along the scenic Marginal Road.</p>

<p><strong>Day 8 Departure</strong></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="860" height="430" src="https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/departure.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-4581" srcset="https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/departure.jpg 860w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/departure-300x150.jpg 300w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/departure-768x384.jpg 768w, https://blog.travelive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/departure-585x293.jpg 585w" sizes="(max-width: 860px) 100vw, 860px" /></figure>

</div>

<p>Start your day by discovering the must-see monuments of Lisbon together with your private guide. Begin in the historic Belem neighborhood, the same place many great Portuguese explorers embarked on their voyages of discovery, such as Prince Henry the Navigator, the first overseas expedition to conquer Ceuta in Morocco, Bartholomeu Dias to round the Cape of Good Hope, the first voyages of Ferdinand Magellan, and Vasco da Gama&#8217;s discovery of the sea route to India. Visit the Belem Tower, originally built in 1515 as a fortress to guard the entrance to Lisbon&#8217;s harbor, or the Discovery Monument, built in honor of Henry the Navigator, who led Portugal&#8217;s discovery expeditions into the New World, during the country&#8217;s heyday in the 15th century. Continue your exploration of Jeronimo&#8217;s Monastery, the most impressive symbol of Portugal&#8217;s power and wealth during the Age of Discovery, built by King Manuel I in 1502, to commemorate Vasco da Gama&#8217;s voyage and to thank the Virgin Mary for its success. Following along the riverbank, towards Commerce Square, you will pass through the Alfama neighborhood, highlighting the city&#8217;s Moorish legacy, before heading to the Pombalina district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the lively Rossio Square, Liberty Avenue, and the Marques of Pombal roundabout.&nbsp;</p>
