Seek and you shall find. In a world of Ibizas and Mallorcas, it may seem like Spain (or even Europe) has no place left for a truly refined Mediterranean hideaway.

Of course, if your travelers want to watch the sun rise to the beat of renowned DJs or feel the cosmopolitan energy of Spain’s largest island, the aforementioned will suffice. But what if they’re looking for something quieter? Something soft spoken yet striking. Wild, yet perfectly composed. A dormant haven that awakens just for them.

That place is Menorca. So, make haste and join Spain by Travelive in finding it, before someone else does!

Europe’s Whisper of Unspoiled Luxury

And once you hear it, there’s nothing quite like its radiant timbre. Discreet, understated, and quite frankly underappreciated, Menorca is where luxury is defined by untouched beauty and treasured purity. A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, this rare Balearic paradise has managed to resist the touch of mass tourism and stay true to its verdant roots. Like sunshine in a bottle, this capsule of Mediterranean allure is where every pine-framed beach, every hidden turquoise cove, and every locally sourced dish feel like it’s been kept secret just for you. So, let’s see what else it’s hiding.

The Calas | Nature in High Definition

Want to know a secret? Menorca has more beaches than Ibiza and Mallorca combined. What’s more, that their bliss will never be disturbed by the presence of incessant crowds.

Renowned for its hidden turquoise coves (calas), where sandy shores lie dormant between limestone cliffs and perfumed pine forests, Menorca is where throwing down a beach towel is akin to discovering nirvana. And Spain by Travelive ensures your travelers do so in style.

We skip the footpaths and take you straight to the heart of these secret wonders. How? Aboard a private llaut, Menorca’s traditional wooden boat, which can drop anchor in those fabled crystalline waters that are only accessible by sea. Once there, expect nothing but silence, sunlight, and the rhythmic whisper of lapping waves. Shhh…don’t tell anyone.

Menorca not only invites travelers to slow down time but to rewind it back centuries. An open-air museum where history is told not through exhibits, but through landscapes, the island was recently named a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Talayotic settlements; remnants of which still crown its lands with prehistoric stone towers, burial navetas, and timeless sanctuary sites.

Now, fast-forward a few millennia and find yourself in Ciutadella, the island’s former capital. Here, honey-colored palaces, Gothic spires, and lantern-lit alleyways add a touch of aristocracy. Meanwhile, a chapter of British rule chronicles the island’s maritime legacy and love of gin. This is the kind of history that’s hard to find and even harder to say ‘no’ to.

Gastronomy | Finca-to-Table Flavor

If anything can break the hush of that signature Menorcan serenity, it’s the sounds of satisfaction heard upon tasting its signature dishes. Named a European Region of Gastronomy, the island serves meals shaped by sea breezes and long-standing farm traditions; boasting a culinary heritage that never rushed to modernize and is all the better for it. But why talk about it when you can try it? And here’s where to start.

In Menorca, luxury isn’t constructed, it’s preserved. The island’s most coveted stays are 17th- and 18th-century fincas, reborn as five-star sanctuaries that retain the island’s soul while treating you to every possible comfort. These heritage estates blend raw stone, terracotta, and reclaimed wood with refined contemporary design, offering total seclusion framed by olive groves, vineyards, and rolling countryside. This is where you’ll find:

• Intimate properties with attentive staff-to-guest ratios and a standard of care that anticipates needs before they’re spoken.
• Farm-to-table dining featuring produce grown directly on the estate, paired with exceptional Menorcan wines like Binifadet.
• Private terraces, stone-vaulted spas, and infinity pools overlooking sweeping rural landscapes that offer total tranquility.

Grounded and serene, Menorcan luxury comes from its nature, and its properties pay homage to it with the kind of stays that quiet the world and restore the traveler.

Menorca isn’t an island you conquer with a checklist; it’s one you surrender to. For travelers seeking a gentler, more intimate kind of Mediterranean luxury, Menorca offers something increasingly rare: authenticity without effort, beauty without pretense, and indulgence without excess.

If your clients are ready to trade the bustle of tourist hot spots for the rustle of pine groves and the stillness of private coves, Spain by Travelive will open the door to this island’s most exclusive experiences; the kind usually whispered about, never advertised.

Menorca’s quiet luxury awaits. Let’s reveal it together.

Spain continues to enchant travelers with its kaleidoscope of culture, vibrant cities, and a culinary scene unlike anywhere else in Europe. The Spain by Travelive team, led by Country Manager Spain and Portugal Armando Maestre Ferrandez, shares the inside track on what’s hot, what’s new, and how discerning travelers are experiencing Spain in 2025.

Madrid and Barcelona remain iconic, irresistible draws for first-timers and frequent visitors alike, but Spain’s heart is beating ever stronger in the south. Seville and Andalusia are experiencing a surge in popularity, beloved for their sun-soaked ambiance, rich traditions, and world-famous food. The Balearic Islands—especially Mallorca with its luxury hideaways and Menorca for its slower pace—continue to captivate high-end travelers. Meanwhile, Northern Spain, including foodie havens like San Sebastián, Bilbao, and La Rioja, is attracting a growing crowd seeking art, gastronomy, and culture away from the mainstream.

Immersion is Everything

Guests want to dine in local homes, take hands-on cooking classes, or lose themselves in artisan workshops—espadrille making, ceramics, and more. VIP access to flamenco rehearsals, private sherry cellar tours, or family-run vineyards is increasingly in demand. Food is king, with travelers craving a seamless blend of Michelin-starred experiences and hidden culinary gems. Wellness is firmly on the rise, from Galicia’s historic thermal spas to Mallorca’s newest wellness retreats. The slow travel movement is strong, with “live like a local” itineraries, market walks, and tapas crawls in non-touristy neighborhoods topping the list.

The numbers say that…

2025 is welcoming the return of the 4-star traveler, seeking boutique hotels, intimate small-group tours, and value without compromise. Multi-generational escapes are trending, especially in villas across Mallorca, Costa del Sol, and Andalusia. Solo adventurers and couples celebrating special occasions remain a constant. Demand for shoulder season travel (March–May, September–November) is growing to avoid crowds, along with winter escapes to Andalusia and the Canary Islands—driven by the rise of the coolcation.

And, of course, Country Combinations

Spain pairs beautifully with Portugal – this year’s top duo, as well as France – linking Basque regions, and Morocco – Madrid-Marrakech. Mediterranean culture-lovers are also combining Spain with the south of France or northern Italy for a truly diverse adventure.

A focus on Privacy and a Quiet Time Around

Savvy travelers want “off-the-crowds” experiences in Barcelona and Madrid—private after-hour museum tours, stylish day trips to medieval towns, and authentic neighborhood explorations. In Southern Spain, interest is moving beyond the classic Seville-Córdoba-Granada triangle, with new focus on Cádiz, Jerez, Ronda, and the olive groves of Jaén.

Under-the-Radar Gems

Extremadura is Spain’s best-kept secret: a land of Roman ruins, untouched medieval towns, and a secret Michelin-star circuit. Northern inland gems like Cantabria and Asturias offer wild scenery, delightful small towns, exceptional cuisine, and near-zero mass tourism. On the islands, Menorca is emerging as the serene, unspoiled alternative to its bustling Balearic siblings.

Looking for Something Truly Special?

Ribera del Duero’s boutique vineyard hotels and exclusive winery tours offer an outstanding alternative to La Rioja. Other high-demand experiences include private flamenco rehearsals, rooftop evenings at Madrid’s Círculo de Bellas Artes, and closed-door viewings at the Prado or Thyssen museums.

Ribera del Duero | Prado Museum | Mallorca

Maybe a Wellness Escape

Mallorca is a leader in luxury wellness escapes, with specialized hotels offering detox, longevity, and holistic programs. The Canary Islands, with their eternal spring climate, are hosting year-round spa retreats. Galicia’s tradition of thermal spas and mineral-spring hotels is quickly gaining an international reputation.

Advisor-Led Groups & Cruise Add-Ons

Food and wine group tours, particularly in Rioja, Ribera del Duero, the Basque Country, Andalusia, and Mallorca, are on the rise, along with soft-adventure Camino de Santiago routes for small groups. Cruise travelers are extending their journeys in port cities like Barcelona, Valencia, Málaga, and Bilbao, requesting Gaudí tours, guided tapas walks, and cultural forays into wine country or Andalusia.
